Job Description:

Join a renowned Level I Trauma Center in the vibrant city of St. Louis as a PACU Registered Nurse on a 16-week contract. In this role, you'll manage a diverse caseload of post-operative patients recovering from surgeries such as neurosurgery, orthopedic, vascular, and transplant procedures. Expect to work day shifts from 0700-1930, with scheduled hours of 36 per week, including three 12-hour shifts. You'll have the flexibility to select one weekday off and will work every Saturday and Sunday without call responsibilities. This position offers a chance to hone your critical care skills within a busy, fast-paced environment where no two days are alike. You’ll utilize Epic for documentation, handle patients with complex post-op needs, including those requiring invasive monitoring, blood transfusions, and vasoactive medications, all while contributing to the recovery of adults, occasional adolescents, and the elderly. This assignment is perfect for experienced critical care professionals looking for a rewarding and challenging opportunity. No night shifts are required unless you choose to learn preoperative assessments for additional experience.
