Job Description:

This 13-week contract positions you on a fast-paced, high-stakes medical-surgical step-down unit, where your nursing expertise will help facilitate ED throughput and patient placement. The role involves providing comprehensive assessments, medication reconciliation, and initiating acute care orders for admitted patients arriving from the Emergency Department. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, with scheduled every other weekend, no call, and assistance with holidays. Expect to float within your skill set to other units such as telemetry or ED transporter duties, offering variety and the chance to broaden your clinical skills. Nurses with Charge Nurse experience or those willing to step into leadership roles are preferred. This assignment offers an engaging environment where every day presents new opportunities to make a difference in patient outcomes.
