Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment places you in the Heart Tower at Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC, working on the 4Heart Cardiovascular Progressive Care (CVPC) unit. You'll be responsible for supporting patients recovering from complex cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries, including open heart procedures, lung surgeries, and vascular interventions. The role involves closely monitoring post-surgical patients, managing epidural and chest tube care, administering IV medications with Baxter and CADD pumps, and supporting procedures such as IV glucocander and cardiac GTT management. This unit is fast-paced with a dedicated team, offering the opportunity to fine-tune your skills in a critical care environment with a focus on cardiac patient needs. You'll work 12-hour day shifts, accumulating 36 hours weekly, with scheduled weekends and holiday flexibility. The uniqueness of this assignment lies in its exposure to a broad spectrum of complex cardiac and vascular cases, providing valuable experience in a specialized setting. Make sure to bring your experience with stepdown, telemetry, and cardiovascular surgery patient populations, along with ACLS and BLS certifications.
