Job Description:

This stepdown unit in a reputable hospital offers a 13-week contract for experienced registered nurses ready to take on a day shift with 12-hour hours. You’ll be working in a fast-paced environment focused on cardiac and neuro patient populations, including post-PCI, pacers, and stroke care. Expect to interpret telemetry/EKG, initiate and titrate drips, and perform post-surgical assessments. The role features guaranteed weekly hours of 36, with opportunities for additional hours upon request. You’ll float within skillsets between two campus locations (Deaconess Gateway and Deaconess Henderson), with a brief notice. The assignment provides an excellent chance to showcase your critical thinking and assessment skills while contributing to a collaborative team with helpful charge nurses and strong CNA support. This role is ideal for resilient travelers with at least 2 years of RN experience, including one full year in stepdown, and recent EPIC charting experience.
