Job Description:

Join a reputable healthcare facility in Rapid City as a Registered Nurse specializing in Progressive Care Units (PCU). This 13-week travel contract offers a unique opportunity to work in a mixed acuity unit that includes Intermediate Care, Telemetry, and Med-Surg patients. You'll be actively involved in managing direct admits, ED admits, Post Cath Lab cases, and complex cardiac patients like MI, NSTEMI, STEMI, and post-operative vascular and cardiac recovery. The role requires hands-on experience with cardiac pharmacology, titratable IV medications, rhythm interpretation, and post-procedure patient care. Expect to work 12-hour day or night shifts, with a schedule that includes weekend and holiday rotations. The setting is fast-paced and challenging, perfect for experienced nurses eager to expand their cardiac care expertise. You’ll also have the chance to precept students and support a multidisciplinary team in a facility equipped with Epic, Alaris, and Omnicell systems. This assignment is ideal for RNs with at least 1.5 years of general nursing and one year of specific PCU experience who are comfortable with the acuity level and scope of care described.
