Job Description:

Join an exciting PACU (Post-Anesthesia Care Unit) assignment in Weirton, West Virginia, where you'll be monitoring and recovering patients emerging from anesthesia. This role involves conducting postoperative assessments, managing pain, and educating patients and their families on recovery procedures. You'll work in a unit with 14 beds and typically have a 1:1 to 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio, providing a steady rhythm of engaging and focused work. The shift is composed of 8-hour days, allowing for a predictable routine, and you'll be responsible for managing cases such as general, orthopedic, urology, vascular, and podiatry, among others. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to experience postoperative care in a fast-paced environment with manageable patient loads and a collaborative team, including access to RT and anesthesia support.
