Job Description:

Join our team as a Stepdown/Tele RN on a 13-week contract in Henderson, Kentucky. This role involves working 12-hour night shifts within a dedicated stepdown unit that features 10 beds, offering opportunities to manage a variety of complex patient cases including sepsis, CHF, COPD, and post-surgical care. You will be responsible for interpreting telemetric data, initiating and titrating insulin, heparin, and cardiac drips, and performing assessments that require critical thinking. The setting is a smaller, well-staffed facility with a focus on teamwork and experience, perfect for nurses who enjoy a collaborative atmosphere. Cross-campus floating may be required to Deaconess Newburgh (IN) and Deaconess Gateway (IN), with 2-hour notice for any adjustments. The position includes bi-weekly orientation, guaranteed hours of 36 per week, and the flexibility for 48-hour workweeks upon request. This assignment is ideal for experienced RN travelers who thrive in a fast-paced environment and are comfortable managing a diverse patient population, including those on drips and ventilators.
