Join us for a 13-week travel assignment in a fast-paced adult and pediatric medical/surgical telemetry unit set in a vibrant California city. As a registered nurse, you'll be responsible for providing specialized care to a diverse patient population, including those with COPD, post-op recovery, GI bleeds, and OBGYN surgeries. Expect to work 12-hour day shifts with a team that values efficiency and collaboration. The role offers a chance to sharpen your skills in titrating drips like heparin and protonix, all while experiencing a setting where patients typically stay just three days. Job Specifics:

Location: Red Bluff, California. Shift: 12-hour days, 7 AM - 7 PM. Duration: 13 weeks with an estimated weekly gross of $2,106.48. This role involves caring for adult and pediatric patients who require medications, monitoring, and titration of drips, with an emphasis on Med/Surg telemetry. The successful candidate will have 2-3 years of experience in a similar specialty, including pediatric experience preferred. Must hold BLS certification, and PALS is a plus. Prior experience with heparin and protonix drips, as well as performing own strip readings, is required. The unit operates with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 to 5, and there are nurse aides and support equipment like CPAP, Bipap, and high-flow oxygen available. The team lead charges nurse manages responsibilities without assigned patients, ensuring smooth unit operations. Self-scheduling is available, with some block scheduling, and the role includes rotating weekend and holiday shifts. Floating to other units such as Telemetry or OB is optional for those with the right experience. The dress code is navy scrubs, and orientation includes a two to three-day hospital-specific program and a fun scavenger hunt to familiarize you with the unit.
