Job Description:
Join a reputable short-term acute care hospital as a Respiratory Therapist specializing in Neuro Diagnostics and NICU support. This 13-week contract offers a challenging yet rewarding opportunity to work in a facility that values versatility and expertise. Your role will involve floating between the hospital's NICU, Pediatric units, and other hospital areas, primarily supporting neonatal respiratory cases with high-frequency and oscillating vents. Expect to work 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), four days a week, with every other weekend and holiday coverage. This assignment stands out because you will be part of a team that manages complex neonatal respiratory support, handling advanced vent technology such as Draeger Vent systems, while collaborating across multiple units to ensure optimal patient care through supportive respiratory therapies. Being adaptable to new environments and willing to support various hospital departments is essential for success in this role.

Job Specifics:
Location: Bridgeport, CT
Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM), 4 days per week

Additional details include floating between Bridgeport Hospital and Milford Campuses, with the possibility of supporting all hospital units including NICU and Pediatric wards. The role requires BLS and CRT or RRT certification, a valid state license, and a minimum of 2 years of experience working in Level II Trauma and Neonatal intensive care, including experience with Draeger ventilators. There is a requirement to work every other weekend and holiday as needed, and orientation to new staff may be requested.
