Job Description:

Join our team as an Operating Room Registered Nurse on a 13-week travel contract in Springfield, Illinois. This role involves working four 10-hour days, from 12:45 PM to 11:15 PM, caring for a variety of surgical cases across 23 rooms. You'll be responsible for supporting all service lines except cardiovascular, with a focus on trauma, general surgery, bariatric, neurology, orthopedic, plastic, transplant, and urology procedures. This is an excellent opportunity to sharpen your skills in a Level I trauma hospital, work with advanced equipment, and contribute to critical patient care in a fast-paced environment. Candidates must have at least 2.5 years of OR experience, hold an active Illinois license, and be comfortable with qualifications such as basic life support (BLS) and experience in specialized surgical procedures. Expect to work with Cerner charting, and occasionally float within your scope as needed. Weekend shifts are required once per month, and on-call duties are part of the schedule, though generally infrequent. This assignment offers a chance to immerse yourself in complex surgeries while enjoying a supportive hospital environment.
