Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers RN professionals a rewarding opportunity in a labor and delivery setting with a 12-hour night shift schedule. You'll be responsible for supporting obstetrics, postpartum, and antepartum patients, managing high-acuity cases such as pregnancy complications involving hypertension or diabetes, and titrating critical drips like Pitocin and Mag. The role emphasizes adherence to AWHONN guidelines with a typical patient load of 1:3, and you'll work closely with charge nurses on a unit with 15 LDRP and postpartum beds. Expect to participate in a comprehensive orientation including classroom and on-the-floor training to ensure you are well-prepared for this unique assignment. Please note that artificial nails are prohibited, and passing a skills exam during orientation is mandatory to maintain employment.

Additional notes: Candidates must adhere to radius rule of 50 miles and cannot hold part-time, PRN, or full-time positions with facilities associated with CommonSpirit, including CHI and Dignity. RTO requests must be made upfront for 7 or fewer days; no additional RTO will be approved during the contract. The hospital is rated Blue Distinction + for patient care excellence.
