Job Description:

This 13-week contract in Iron Mountain, MI, offers an exciting opportunity for ED nurses experienced in trauma and emergency procedures. You will work 12-hour night shifts in a busy emergency department with approximately 40-60 patients treated daily. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of ED experience, with responsibilities including triaging, responding to variable diagnoses like trauma, STEMI, and strokes, and utilizing a range of clinical skills. The facility features dedicated fast track, triage, and psych/seclusion rooms, with a team that includes trained RNs, ED physicians, mid-level providers, RTs, and phlebotomists. Night shifts are structured with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, decreasing after midnight. Participants will engage with a dynamic, fast-paced environment while following department-specific policies and procedures. Candidates should be comfortable working both independently and as part of a team, with the possibility of first-time travelers and duos.
