Job Description:

Join a renowned medical center in Omaha as an ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week contract, working 12-hour night shifts from 19:00 to 07:30. This role offers the chance to float within the ICU and other units like neuro, trauma, and surgical wards, supporting a variety of adult patients including oncology and palliative care. You will handle complex cases, including chemotherapy patients, with patient ratios typically between 1:2 and 1:3. Required experience includes a minimum of 2 years in a large, urban hospital, with prior EPIC charting and drip management skills. The facility demands those with proven expertise, and first-timers are not accepted unless they have extensive Level I academic center experience. Prepare for a fast-paced environment with a team comprising care techs, transport staff, swoop/paramedics, and occasional LPN support. Expect to work two out of four weekends and at least two major holidays during the assignment. This role provides an opportunity to wear Nebraska Medicine-branded scrubs and enjoy the vibrant Omaha area with a variety of local and day trip activities.
