Job Description:

This Contract Cardiology Stepdown Unit role in Albany, GA, is designed for experienced nurses who thrive in a fast-paced cardiac setting. You'll be working 12-hour day shifts, handling a mix of cardiothoracic cases, CHF patients, and post-surgical recoveries. The unit features a high patient turnover with an average census of 32-38 patients, requiring quick assessments and seamless interventions. Be prepared to read and interpret cardiac strips, manage drips including Cardizem, amiodarone, and dobutamine, and collaborate closely with a dedicated pharmacy and RT team. Floating to ICU is possible if you have ICU experience; flexibility and attentiveness are key. This assignment offers a chance to deepen your cardiac care expertise in a supportive environment while adhering to a strict 75-mile rule from your current driver’s license address.
