Job Description:

Join a prestigious maternity unit for a 13-week travel assignment in Redwood City, CA, where you'll work 12-hour day shifts, providing specialized nursing support in a Level 2 NICU and obstetric environment. This role involves triaging patients, assisting with labor and delivery, and collaborating with an exceptional team of OB/GYNs, maternal-fetal medicine specialists, and NICU nurses. The unit features innovative LDRP rooms, a supportive lactation staff, and a focus on high-quality care for patients of higher socioeconomic status, many of whom prefer epidurals. While the hospital is not a locked unit, it maintains infant security protocols. Expect to use Cerner PowerChart EMR and Cerner Fetal Links, and to participate in a rotating call schedule, with optional on-call responsibilities that require proximity to the hospital. This is an excellent opportunity to enhance your maternal-child nursing skills in a supportive, well-equipped environment with a focus on patient comfort and safety.
