Job Description:

This 13-week travel assignment in Morgantown, WV, offers registered nurses the chance to work in a stepdown unit specializing in post-surgical thoracic and medicine patients. The shift is a 12-hour night schedule, where you'll be titrating drips such as Cardizem, Amiodarone, Dopamine, Nitro, Esmolol, Heparin, and Lasix, interpreting EKG strips, and monitoring patient rhythms. With a focus on MedSurg Stepdown care, you will be involved in managing patient IV therapies, reading strips, and ensuring accurate charting at the nurses' station. The unit maintains a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:3-4, supported by 3-4 CNA's per shift. This role requires strong clinical judgment, familiarity with titratable medications, and the ability to interpret telemetry in a fast-paced environment. The assignment provides a unique opportunity to sharpen critical care skills while working alongside charge nurses and house supervisors in a unit that values teamwork and precision.
