Job Description:

Join this engaging 13-week travel contract in Utica, NY, as a Medical Surgical Stepdown nurse specializing in stroke care. Your days will start at 6:30 a.m. and end around 7 p.m., with a block schedule that offers a rhythm to your week. This role features floating responsibilities across a 64-bed unit, primarily managing patients with conditions such as stroke, altered mental status, renal issues, COPD, CHF, and pneumonia. Expect to operate IV pumps, N/G tubes, and feeding devices, all while coordinating comprehensive care for adult patients. Bring your experience in stroke stepdown wards, current BLS and NIHSS certifications, and documentation of travel history, as local candidates within 75 miles are also welcomed. This assignment offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in a specialized unit while expanding your skills in a vibrant healthcare setting.
