Job Description:

Join our team for a 13-week travel assignment in Peoria, Illinois, providing vital support on the Short Stay Unit. In this role, you'll be working 12-hour day shifts, caring for a diverse patient population including stroke, trauma, cardiac, and general medical cases. The unit is fast-paced with high patient turnover, offering a challenging yet rewarding experience where your overall med/surg skills will truly shine. You'll have the chance to work alongside experienced charge RNs and dedicated PCTs, managing patient care tasks like vitals, hourly rounding, and monitoring Bi-pap and C-pap equipment. No drips titration required here, but your ability to troubleshoot respiratory equipment is valuable. With a focus on teamwork and efficiency, this role provides a platform to refine your skills in a supportive environment without long-term care responsibilities.
