Job Description:
Join a fast-paced surgical unit in Wilmington, NC, for a 13-week contract as a registered nurse specializing in surgical and trauma care. During this assignment, you'll work 12-hour night shifts, managing a wide variety of surgical procedures and trauma cases, from appendectomies to limb ischemia. Expect to interpret and manage dysrhythmias, oversee blood product administration, and utilize advanced equipment like wound vacs and chest tubes. This role offers an opportunity to sharpen your skills in a diverse clinical setting, where no two days are the same—though some nights might feel a little like a thrilling medical drama.

Job Specifics:
Location: Wilmington, North Carolina
Shift: 12-hour nights (6:45 PM – 7:15 AM)
Duration: 13 weeks, with a 36-hour workweek
Patient Ratios: 1:6 for surgical/medicine patients
Special Requirements: Must pass EKG testing before start; experience with surgical units minimum two years; certifications required include BLS, ACLS, NIH. Willingness to work every other weekend and participate in storm or disaster response teams is expected. Float requirements apply as needed to similar units.
