Job Description:

Join a busy and fast-paced Medical Surgical unit in Omaha, Nebraska, as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week night shift contract. This role offers a great chance to work with adult and geriatric patients, including those with cardiac issues, nephrology needs, stroke, and diabetes, with continuous EEG monitoring. You'll be primarily responsible for managing patients requiring titratable drips such as Cardizem, beta-blockers, and seizure medications, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of approximately 1:4-5. The unit features a team-oriented environment with charge nurses taking on assignments and patient care techs to assist with daily tasks. Expect a focus on critical thinking, problem solving, and clear communication—all crucial in this fast-paced setting. Additionally, candidates will undergo a comprehensive orientation, including skills assessments and on-floor onboarding, to ensure they're well-prepared for the responsibilities ahead.
