Job Description:

Join a dedicated Cardiac Stepdown nursing team in Shreveport, where you'll work 12-hour night shifts for 13 weeks. This role offers the opportunity to care for patients recovering from procedures such as CABG, lung surgery, PCI, and TAVR, among others. You'll be managing a variety of complex cardiac and medical conditions, including respiratory failure, CVA, DKA, and sepsis, with a patient ratio of about 1:3-4. The assignment is designed for experienced PCU RNs with at least 2 years of acute care experience and current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS. It’s a chance to hone your skills managing cardiac drips, vents, central lines, and more, all within a supportive, diverse team environment. Expect a mix of routine and unique cases that will challenge and expand your clinical expertise while working in a friendly, traveler-oriented setting.
