Job Description:
Join our team on a 13-week travel assignment in Chandler, Arizona, working in a busy Surgical Intensive Care Unit (SICU) dedicated to trauma and neuro surgeries. This role is perfect for experienced ICU nurses who thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy the challenge of caring for critically ill patients. You'll be managing complex cases such as blunt trauma, GSW, and neuro surgeries, with shifts consisting of 12 hours during the day. This isn’t just any ICU – it’s a Level 1 trauma center, so expect rewarding and intense work with a team of dedicated professionals. As part of this assignment, you'll experience a variety of trauma, neuro, and specialty neuro-surgery cases, and will use advanced equipment like Hamilton Ventilators and GE monitors. Job Specifics:
Location: Chandler, Arizona
Shift: 12-hour days

Note: The schedule allows for self-scheduling, with three weekend shifts every four weeks and an option for one holiday off. Expect to float between ICUs as needed, working on a team that uses state-of-the-art equipment and interprets own telemetry strips. You will be responsible for titrating high-level drips and managing complex neuro and trauma cases. The role requires recent ICU experience, with a preference for neuro or CV experience, and is suitable for first-time travelers ready to dive into a fast-paced ICU environment. All certifications including BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required.
