Job Description:

Join our team as a Telemetry RN for a 13-week contract in Bridgeport, West Virginia. In this role, you'll work 12-hour night shifts, primarily floating between units such as 6N and 7N, with occasional assignments to other floors including 4N, 5S, 6S, and Critical Care. You'll be responsible for managing a patient load of approximately 5 to 6 patients per shift, many with diagnoses like CHF, pneumonia, COPD, or post-cardiac cath. Your duties will include interpreting cardiac rhythms, managing telemetry monitors, and ensuring patient safety. BLS and ACLS certifications are required, and familiarity with reading EKG strips is essential. No titrating of drips is necessary, but the ability to quickly assess cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately is vital. You will report to a charge nurse and may assist CNAs, who handle routine tasks such as blood glucose checks. Respiratory equipment like CPAP and BiPAP will be managed by RTs, allowing you to focus on patient monitoring and assessment.
