Job Description:

Join a specialized oncology progressive care unit as a registered nurse, focusing on high-acuity patient care for solid tumors, orthopedic, and thoracic oncology cases. This 36-bed Telemetry unit occasionally cares for pediatric patients, though pediatric experience isn't required. The role involves working 12-hour night shifts (7:00 PM - 7:30 AM) for an extended 16-week contract, providing an excellent opportunity to hone your skills in telemetry monitoring, chemo administration, and managing complex medical equipment such as GE telemetry systems, PCA pumps, and external CPAP/BIPAP. Flexibility is key, as schedules may include days, nights, or a mix, based on staffing needs. Your expertise in interpreting dysrhythmias, managing IV access, and handling cardiac drips will be vital in delivering top-tier care in this fast-paced environment.
