Job Description:

Join a 13-week contract as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse specializing in Urology and Nephrology on the day shift. You'll work 12-hour days from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, providing care on a 25-bed unit with an average daily census of 23 patients. This role offers the chance to demonstrate your expertise in telemetry monitoring, renal management, IV therapy, and emergency response, including use of rapid response teams. The setting is a busy acute care hospital where your skills in hemodialysis management, medication administration, and respiratory support will be crucial. You will float within the medical-surgical scope to meet unit needs and handle varied clinical situations. This assignment is tailored for experienced RNs with a minimum of 2 years' recent med-surg experience, and active Illinois licensure is required. First-timers are welcome if they have a solid foundation as an RN. The position offers a guaranteed 36 hours per week with flexibility regarding block scheduling and occasional weekend shifts every other week.
