Job Description:

This RN contract in the Oncology PCU (5 North) offers a chance to work with adult Oncology and Trauma patients in an 18-bed unit. You'll be scheduled for 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, every other weekend, providing care during overnight hours. Expect to float to other med/surg and PCU units as needed, with the opportunity to engage in patient-focused tasks such as medication titrations (including insulin and Cardizem drips), managing high-flow respiratory equipment, and supporting patients through their oncology journey. This assignment uniquely emphasizes teamwork, caring for a diverse patient population, and working with supportive staff like nursing assistants, case managers, and dietitians. You will undergo a two-day orientation and be expected to pass a skills exam on Friday using provided resources, with a required score of 90%. The role offers an engaging experience for those who excel in fast-paced hospital settings and enjoy collaborative care.
