Job Description:

This MS RN position at Deaconess IL Medical Center offers an engaging 13-week contract working 12-hour daytime shifts from 7 am to 7:30 pm. You'll be caring for patients in a 36-bed medical/surgical/ortho unit with a patient ratio of 1:5, occasionally adjusting to a 1:4 ratio during staffing fluctuations. The role involves providing independent and confident nursing care, including charting in EPIC and managing medical holds in the ED and ICU. The assignment provides a unique opportunity to navigate a fast-paced, resilient environment where change is common, and teamwork is essential. Candidates will be expected to work every other weekend and holidays as needed, with no on-call requirements but guaranteed hours of 36 per week, with the possibility of holiday closures on the unit.
