Job Description:

This 13-week contract offers RN professionals the chance to work in a busy Cardio Thoracic unit that handles a variety of complex cardiac patients, including those with MI, CHF, A fib, COPD, and chest surgeries. You will be responsible for interpreting EKGs, titrating medications such as heparin and Cardizem, and managing patients with chest tubes and other post-surgical needs. The schedule consists of 12-hour days, with shifts from 0700-1930 or 1900-0730, including every other weekend and holiday rotations. This role provides a well-rounded experience in a hospital setting with diverse patient cases, a focus on advanced cardiac care, and the opportunity to interpret Phillips tele monitors. The environment emphasizes teamwork with charge nurses, house supervisors, and patient care techs supporting your efforts. Be prepared to troubleshoot equipment like Cpap and Bipap, and to perform all basic nursing skills in a fast-paced, adult-focused unit.
