Job Description:

Join a dedicated Oncology Chemotherapy Certified RN on a 12-hour day shift in Kalamazoo, Michigan. This role involves administering IV chemotherapy, starting IV lines, and utilizing equipment such as Welch Allyn vital sign towers and sigma IV pumps. You'll work on a step-down unit caring for general medical and oncology patients, gaining valuable experience in post-chemotherapy care. The assignment offers the chance to float to other med-surg areas including the ED and acute units, providing both variety and challenge in your daily routine. The position requires at least 2 years of PCU or step-down experience, and appropriate certifications including Michigan RN license, BLS (AHA), and either ONCC or ONS oncology certification. Your workweek totals 48 hours, with every other weekend scheduled off, and flexibility around block scheduling and self-requested days. As a vital part of the team, you will be supported by appropriate staffing ratios, primarily 1:4-6, with additional support for chemo admissions.
