Job Description:

This travel nursing opportunity places you in a 36-48 bed Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with a mixed patient population, including Med/Surg, IMC, and long-length stay patients. You'll be working 12-hour day shifts, caring for patients with conditions such as diabetic ketoacidosis, post-surgical recovery, respiratory illnesses, and cardiovascular issues. Expect to manage IV, IM, and SQ medications, titratable drips, blood transfusions, and specialized equipment like chest tubes and central lines. The role involves interpreting telemetry, wound and line management, and providing skin and wound care. You’ll work closely with CNAs, RTs, and hospitalists, ensuring comprehensive patient monitoring and support, all while navigating EPIC documentation. The assignment allows you to experience a variety of acuity levels and patient diagnoses, making it a rewarding challenge for experienced PCU RNs.
