Job Description:

This registered nurse position places you in a 32-bed flex unit that handles both intermediate and general care, primarily serving oncology patients undergoing surgical procedures and benign surgeries. You will be responsible for monitoring patients under plastic surgeon management and managing a variety of surgical cases including ear, nose and throat, colorectal, OB/GYN, urology, gastrointestinal, genitourinary, and thoracic procedures. The role involves reading and interpreting strips, and floating to areas of similar or lower acuity as needed. The schedule features 12-hour rotating shifts, with a commitment of 36 hours per week over 13 weeks, including some holidays and weekends. This assignment offers a chance to focus on surgical and perioperative nursing, with a unique blend of responsibilities that keeps your skills sharp and your day varied.
