Job Description:

Join a vibrant team as a Medical Surgical Registered Nurse at a bustling 42-bed unit in Columbia, Missouri. This contract role offers 12-hour day shifts, bringing excitement and variety to your work week. Be part of an innovative team nursing model, where you will be responsible for patient assessments and medication administration, while collaborating closely with nursing techs who handle lab draws and support patient ambulation. With a patient ratio of 1:5-6 during the day, you'll find a balanced workload that allows you to provide meaningful care.

Your role will also include participating in a unique floating requirement across the unit, ensuring you experience different areas and patient care scenarios. A nurse navigator assists with admissions and discharges, allowing you to focus on direct patient interactions and critical nursing tasks. This position requires flexibility as it is active and involves working on weekends and holidays, engaging with a diverse patient demographic in a facility that operates 24/7.
