Job Description:

Join our team as an OR Tech in Springfield, Illinois, where your expertise in surgical services will shine! This role involves assisting in various surgical procedures within a teaching hospital environment, known for its Level I trauma capabilities. Your main responsibilities will include preparing operating rooms, handling surgical instruments, and ensuring a smooth surgical process from start to finish.

Experience matters! We are seeking seasoned professionals with a minimum of 3 years of operating room experience and proficiency in a wide array of surgical specialties including general surgery, orthopedics, and gynecology, among others. You’ll be expected to demonstrate your skills across various case types, engage in collaborative team efforts, and occasionally float within your scope to meet departmental needs.

As you don your scrubs and step into this dynamic role, prepare for a good dose of excitement, as the average daily census could see you supporting 50-60 cases! With an 8-hour day shift structure and weekend obligations once a month, you'll have plenty of time to enjoy Springfield’s offerings beyond the OR.
