Job Description:

Join an extraordinary team as a Pediatric Stepdown RN in the bustling city of Chicago, Illinois! This inpatient unit, unique in its design, encompasses 39 beds catering to children aged 2 weeks to 18 years with varying medical needs and technology dependencies.

As a contract travel nurse, you will provide specialized care in a dynamic environment where 50-60% of the patients rely on advanced technologies. Your day will involve monitoring and supporting children with tracheostomies and chronic ventilator needs, ensuring every detail is attended to while enjoying the vibrancy of pediatric nursing.

With shifts running from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, you will be part of a closely-knit team working 48 hours a week. This role requires two years of Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) experience, as well as expertise in ventilators, tracheostomy care, and G tube management. BCLS and PALS certifications along with an active Illinois RN license are must-haves.
