Job Description:

Join our vibrant healthcare community as you step into the role of an IR PACU Registered Nurse in Lexington, Kentucky. In this contract position, you will experience the unique challenge of peri-anesthesia care, working primarily in the Interventional Radiology Post Anesthesia Care Unit. You’ll embark on a journey where each shift brings new and exciting cases as you assist in the recovery of pediatric patients, embracing their specific needs with compassion and skill.

Your days will be filled with the dynamic rhythm of patient assessments, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure a smooth recovery for our patients. This position requires a rotation of early start times—either 6 AM, 7 AM, or 8 AM—so you can kick-start your day earlier and maybe even grab a coffee with the sunrise.

With 3-4 late stays each 6 weeks, you’ll find your role both challenging and rewarding as every patient you encounter becomes a part of your story. Required certifications include ACLS, BLS, NIH, and PALS (though the latter can be obtained prior to your start).
