Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated RN to join our MedSurg team in Fort Wayne, Indiana. This role involves floating among general medical and surgical units, providing care to a diverse patient population. As a MedSurg RN, you'll engage with patients experiencing a myriad of conditions, from chronic illnesses like COPD and diabetes to neurological challenges such as strokes and dementia. You’ll also manage GI disorders, infections, and various mental health issues. The unique aspect of this assignment lies in the dynamic float requirement, allowing you to enhance your skills across multiple units while enjoying the variety of cases presented.

In this position, you will work 12-hour day shifts, adapting to different departmental needs with a patient ratio of 1:5-6. Your responsibilities will extend from assessments and care planning to utilizing advanced equipment such as IV pumps and telemetry monitoring. Additionally, you will be part of a robust training program, ensuring you are well-prepared for the diverse challenges this role offers.
