Job Description:

Join our dedicated oncology unit in Albany, Georgia, where you will immerse yourself in a fulfilling role focused on providing care for patients with acute oncology symptoms. As a travel healthcare professional, you will work exclusively on the 7th floor, which features 29 beds, ensuring that your focus remains on delivering exceptional support to those in treatment. With a typical nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 (occasionally 1:6), you will have the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with your patients while managing their complex needs, including those experiencing neutropenia, thrombocytopenia, and end-of-life care.

Your journey will involve working 12-hour night shifts starting at 6:45 PM, with every other weekend commitment and rotation of holidays in harmony with the staff schedule. You will enjoy a warm Caribbean blue scrubs environment while benefiting from a comprehensive 3-day floor-specific orientation. Your expertise will shine through as you collaborate with charge nurses and nurse aides in a supportive atmosphere. Bring your BLS certification along, and if you have the NIHSS or ONS, it’s a nice bonus!
