Job Description:

Join us for a 13-week travel contract in Gilbert, Arizona, working the night shift in a postpartum unit that cares for women through vaginal and C-section deliveries. This role involves providing support during the hours when the hospital is winding down and getting ready for a new day, with opportunities to see the behind-the-scenes of childbirth and postpartum recovery. You'll be working in a unit with 22-30 beds, usually on a 3:1 patient-to-nurse ratio, with occasional increases to 4:1 when PCTs are staffing. This assignment offers a unique chance to become part of a team that manages Mag sulfate, antibiotics, hypertensive medications, and other postpartum treatments. The role emphasizes independence, as nurses handle their own IV starts and provide the care needed in a fast-paced setting. It's a rewarding position for those interested in supporting women through some of their most memorable moments, all while enjoying a work environment with hospitalist and pediatrician on-call coverage.
