Job Description:

Join us for a 13-week contract on the 2 North - Med-Surg unit at Methodist Hill Country in Fredericksburg, Texas. This role offers a chance to work the 12-hour day shift in a vibrant hospital environment, well-suited for experienced telemetry and postop care nurses. The unit, with 24 beds and a staff of 36, provides a mix of patient care activities including daily weights, vital signs, IV placements, wound care, and patient discharges. You'll experience the blend of teamwork and independence as you handle patient loads with a 1:6 ratio, using advanced equipment like IV pumps, ECGs, and wound vacs. This is a perfect opportunity for self-motivated professionals who take initiative and enjoy collaborating with a dedicated team. The role requires active BLS and ACLS certifications, with a preference for candidates with at least two years of experience, PALS, and NIH certifications.
