Job Description:

Join our team as an Operating Room Nurse for a 13-week travel assignment in Alpine, Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work all aspects of the OR, including Pre-Op, Circulating, and Post-Op services. This isn’t your typical scrub-and-run; here, you’ll be an essential part of the surgical team, collaborating closely with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and OR personnel to ensure smooth, efficient procedures. Expect a mix of cases that will challenge your critical thinking, strengthen your leadership skills, and keep your nursing skills sharp. You’ll be responsible for ensuring supplies are ready, assisting during surgeries, coordinating with the team, updating physician preference cards, and communicating with families. Call is required 1-2 weeks per month, adding a dynamic element to this assignment. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of recent OR experience, prior travel experience, and be qualified with a current TX or multistate RN license, BLS, ALS, and PALS certifications. All travel submissions must meet these experience requirements; local candidates are not eligible for this role. This contract provides an hourly commitment of 40 hours per week, with a pay grossing approximately $2,233 weekly based on an 8-hour shift pattern.
