Job Description:

Join our team as a RN in the high-acuity step-down unit at Alaska Regional Hospital in Anchorage. This 13-week travel assignment offers the opportunity to work in a specialized setting with 19 beds, providing care to patients requiring close monitoring and advanced interventions. Your role will involve managing patients with complex needs, including those on ventilators or with trach tubes, while utilizing equipment such as bedside monitors, IV pumps, and ventilators. The shift is 12 hours overnight, from 1:00 PM to 7:30 AM, allowing for a focused experience working during peak hours of high patient turnover and urgent responses. This assignment stands out for its dynamic pacing, requiring a keen eye for detail and a team-oriented attitude as you support a dedicated staff of RNs. During this period, you'll gain hands-on exposure to emergent procedures like cardioversion, and collaborate closely with a team experienced in cardiac and trauma care. Compliance with AK RN licensing and completion of fingerprinting during onboarding are mandatory to ensure a smooth start.
