Job Description:
Join our team as a travel RN in the Maine Medical Center's float pool, where you'll experience the variety of working across multiple ICU units including MICU, Neuro ICU, Surgical/Trauma ICU, and CICU. This role offers the opportunity to work 12-hour night shifts over a 13-week assignment, providing flexibility and broad exposure to different critical care environments. You'll be handling sedated, intubated, and pressor-support patients, with a focus on delivering outstanding patient care while navigating diverse unit needs. The position is unique because of its floating nature—requiring adaptability and a focus on teamwork—making each shift both challenging and rewarding. No two days are alike, and the chance to expand your ICU expertise across various specialties makes this assignment especially engaging.

Job Specifics:
Location: Portland, Maine
Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm to 7:30am)
Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36 hours with a guaranteed minimum of 48 hours per week
This role is ideal for experienced ICU RNs with at least 3 years of acute care hospital experience. You will float between various ICU units, including MICU, SICU, Neuro ICU, and CICU, and must be comfortable caring for sedated, ventilated, and pressor-supported patients. No high-acuity procedures like CRRT are required. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that values flexibility, teamwork, and a dedication to delivering excellent patient care. The facility uses the EPIC EMR system, and appropriate scrubs and professional attire are expected.
