Job Description:

Join a busy post-surgical care unit as a registered nurse, providing care to adult and geriatric patients recovering from varied surgical procedures. This 13-week travel assignment at Aspirus Wausau Hospital offers the unique opportunity to work in a high-paced environment where you’ll manage an average of 10-15 admissions daily. You will work 12-hour night shifts (7 p.m. – 7 a.m.), with every other weekend and holiday coverage required. The role involves using Epic EMR for documentation and collaborating with a skilled team to prioritize patient needs. Flexibility is essential, as unit census can fluctuate, and occasional short-hour shifts of 4 or 8 hours may be assigned during low census times. Experience with trauma level II cases, recent hospital RN background, and prior travel are required to ensure you’re prepared for this challenging yet rewarding position.
