Job Description:

This Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse role offers a rewarding opportunity to work with adult to geriatric patients facing complex oncology diagnoses. You'll be responsible for managing treatments from diagnosis through end-of-life care, including hematology conditions, chemotherapy precautions, and oncologic emergencies. The setting features 19 beds with an average daily census of 15, and you'll work 12-hour day shifts, providing dedicated patient care within a team familiar with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems. Expect to float within the facility and possibly at Piedmont Augusta Summerville, contributing to a specialized oncology unit that values precision and compassion. This assignment is perfect for experienced nurses seeking a focused, impactful role with rotating weekends and holiday work expected as per schedule. The position requires a minimum of two years' oncology experience, certifications in BLS and OCN, and the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment dedicated to adult and elderly populations.
