Job Description:

Join a specialized behavioral health unit as a Registered Nurse on a 13-week night shift contract in Winston-Salem, NC. In this role, you'll work 12-hour night shifts from 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM, providing care in a fast-paced psychiatric setting. You'll be involved in managing a variety of mental health diagnoses, including bipolar disorder, schizophrenia-spectrum disorders, and substance use conditions. The job involves implementing crisis interventions, managing assaultive behavior, and executing behavior management techniques. The unit operates on a split between two floors, with team members rotating to cover different levels of acuity. This assignment offers the opportunity to develop skills in trauma-related disorders, chemical restraints, and seclusion protocols, all within a well-supported environment with onsite leadership and a dedicated therapy team. Be prepared for call requirements, occasional floating to medical-surgical units, and working every other weekend.
