Job Description:

Join us for an engaging travel nursing opportunity on the 7th-floor Oncology unit featuring outpatient infusion care and acute oncology treatments. You will be primarily working on the inpatient floor with beds dedicated to patients experiencing symptoms such as thrombocytopenia, neutropenia, sickle cell crisis, and other hematologic conditions. This assignment offers the chance to hone your skills with Meditech EMR, provide specialized care in a fast-paced environment, and collaborate with a team that values expertise. The role involves a 12-hour night shift over 17 weeks, with a focus on delivering consistent, quality support to patients during critical hours and occasionally floating to medical overflow units. You’ll experience a setting where your two or more years of oncology experience and certifications like BLS, NIHSS, and ONS will truly shine. Expect to work with a dedicated team, including nurse aides, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:5 or 1:6, and to contribute to both inpatient and outpatient care, ensuring timely treatments and compassionate attention.
