Job Description:

Join an esteemed labor and delivery unit as a registered nurse for a rewarding travel contract in Rapid City. This role focuses on supporting high-acuity obstetric patients within a busy Level 3 NICU environment. As a traveler, you’ll manage a diverse range of cases—from routine to complex pregnancies—covering antepartum to postpartum care, and caring for newborns with advanced needs. Expect to handle cervical checks, IV starts, magnesium sulfate administration, and emergency cesarean sections. The unit’s seasoned team offers a collaborative setting, and your adaptability with variable shifts and weekend rotations will help you thrive in this fast-paced atmosphere. This is a fantastic opportunity for a first-time traveler with at least 2 years of L&D experience or an experienced nurse looking to diversify their skills in a vibrant, high-level facility.

Job Specifics:

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Shift: 12-hour rotating shifts, 0630-1830, working days and nights, every other weekend
Duration: 13 weeks, with approximately 48 hours per week
