Job Description:
This PCU float registered nurse role offers a chance to work across multiple medical-surgical and progressive care units within a hospital setting. You will be responsible for caring for adult to geriatric patients, with a focus on diagnosing and managing a variety of conditions. The float requirement means you'll move between units like Med-Surg, Telemetry, and PCU, making each shift both challenging and engaging. Expect to work night shifts—three 12-hour overnight shifts per week—ensuring a comprehensive experience in different clinical environments while maintaining flexibility. The role emphasizes familiarity with Epic, Pyxis, and SBAR systems, with a uniform of navy blue scrubs. This assignment also includes working holidays based on a set schedule, and full compliance with hospital requirements is essential for timely onboarding.
