Job Description:

This assignment places you in the bustling emergency department of a hospital in Fort Madison, Iowa, where you'll work 12-hour night shifts supporting the Epic go-live preparation. Your role involves configuring and troubleshooting EMR systems, specifically focusing on Cerner and Epic platforms. Prior to starting, you'll self-study telemetry strips and pass a basic dysrhythmia test—an essential step to ensure you're prepared for the fast-paced environment. During your time here, you'll assist in updating documentation, supporting clinical staff with EMR-related tasks, and ensuring system workflows run smoothly. This role offers a unique opportunity to hone technical skills in a dynamic setting while contributing to a critical hospital transition. The assignment spans approximately 13 weeks, with a weekly commitment of 36 hours, and a chance for extension based on unit needs.
