Job Description:

This RN contract opportunity is situated in a 56-bed Adult Medical Specialty Unit that specializes in treating a variety of acute conditions such as cellulitis, sepsis, dehydration, electrolyte imbalances, and more. You'll have the chance to work with patients requiring advanced interventions like central lines, tracheostomies, and chest tubes. The role features overnight shifts of 12 hours, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with a rotation that includes every other weekend and holiday requirements. The setting offers a chance to utilize your EPIC experience and your skills on a MedSurg floor, ideally in a level I trauma center. Duties focus on patient assessments, medication administration (including titratable drips like Heparin and Lasix), and supervising supplemental staff such as PCTs. There is no requirement to titrate drips, but familiarity with common titratable and set rate drips is beneficial. A dedicated floor charge nurse, telemonitoring via Phillips monitors, and a supportive team of nurse aides and respiratory therapists make this position both challenging and rewarding.
